PHRYGIA, Trajanopolis. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ 24mm (7.03 g). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right / ΑΛΕΞΑΝ ΦΙΛΟ−Θ ΓΡΑ ΤΡΑΙΝΟΠ, Zeus Laodiceus standing left, holding eagle and staff. Von Aulock, Phrygiens II, 1512; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG von Aulock -; BMC Phrygia pg. 429, 27. VF, brown patina with some green around the devices, roguh surfaces. Very rare.
